Fort Thomas Towne Center

The Towne Center was a redevelopment of some aging buildings and facilities into an area used every day by local residents. It was a cooperative design venture between the City of Fort Thomas, Citizens Bank of Northern Kentucky, and Fort Thomas Enterprises, a commercial developer. The design was intended to be compatible with the City’s ongoing streetscape project along Fort Thomas Avenue and reminiscent of an earlier time period in Fort Thomas’ history. The project consisted of facade improvements to the bank and a strip center, new streetscapes (sidewalks, curbs, brick pavement, street furniture, and landscaping), a public park, and a clock tower. In addition to the façade finishes for each of the buildings, Mr. Noran designed interior tenant finishes for Citizens’ Bank of Northern Kentucky, law offices, a convenient store, and a dry cleaning facility. All commercial establishments remained open at all times.
